History

BeatCamp started as a Funk/HipHop/Reggae club in Heidelberg around ‘94. After doing nice parties with nice people like Del the funky homosapien, Casual, Torch, Boulevard-Bou, Double D., La Mixture, Al Kaporn and many many others Marflix started to play reggae/dancehall on other parties in the South Germany area. BeatCamp rocked the small reggae scene back in the days with singers and mcs like Don Sharicon, Sepp Supreme and Antoni Locks.
With Raoul aka Shogun joining BeatCamp in 1998, the soundsystem was finally complete.

BeatCamp has a main focus on production works. In 2000 the first two riddims (ChaiChai and Seppuku) were released on tapes, voiced by several German artists. These riddims were one of the first outa Germany. Although BeatCamp has never been a clash/dubplate soundsystem, they come with exclusive remix material from their studio.

In Sept. 2003 we started our Online – Store Faluma, specialized on Caribbean music.
